LaVonne was born June 22, 1938, in Garrison, North Dakota, to Ray M and Evelyn V Adams. She spent her early childhood in North Dakota, moved to Alaska for a short time and finally settled in Utah. She attended Davis High School, and worked at the Navy yard.
On May 12, 1956, LaVonne married Bruce Orr and they moved to Roy, Utah, where they resided for many years and raised two children. LaVonne was a stay-at-home mom while her kids were growing up and then she worked at various places including the IRS and Hill AFB.
She enjoyed embroidering and crocheting, as well as trips to Wendover, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. LaVonne loves animals and has always had a special little dog companion at her side.
LaVonne and Bruce were snowbirds for several years, spending time in Parker, Arizona, and now make their home in Farr West. Their children: Bruce Kim Orr (Michele) and Patricia Campbell (Vern), honored their mother with a family dinner at Maddox Restaurant on June 22, 2018. LaVonne has four grandsons and 10 great-grandchildren.
